Principal's Message
Sakaw School has 400 students in total with students in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Grades 1 to 6. Our school mission statement is, "Leaders Know the Way, Go the Way, and Show the Way." Our staff hold high expectations for themselves and for our students to pursue academic and personal development. We are committed to ensuring our school and our classrooms are safe, welcoming, and caring. In order for students to achieve growth and success in their studies, we target critical learner outcomes and we use a variety of teaching and learning strategies. Our staff collaborate to determine the best classroom and school-wide strategies to help students learn. We work to build relationships and foster communication with our parents, families, and community, and we welcome school volunteers, parent feedback, and community partners. To help us achieve Success, One Student at a Time, we need our collective wisdom to do great things. "Alone we are smart. Together, we are brilliant." [Steven Anderson]
Everyday I look forward to supporting our staff to creatively and effectively meet the needs of each one of our unique and capable students.
